Brahim Diaz has been welcomed in the team when Real Madrid went back to the training on Tuesday morning, as his team is preparing for the Copa del Rey match against Leganes. With a good number of injured players, including the most recent Toni Kroos’s groin injury and Gareth Bale’s soleus injury, it is very probable that Brahim Diaz, the new No.21, will already play his first match for the club against Leganes on Wednesday.
19-year old from Malaga had his presentation on Monday at Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu, where his announcement as the new Real Madrid’s player was attended by a number of his relatives: his parents, all of his four sisters and a greater number of others, including his grandfather who is said to be the most important figure in his childhood. His grandfather, as well as Brahim’s father, are the ones responsible for bringing Juni Calafat, the club’s head of the recruitment, to the pitch to see Brahim.
On the other hand, Toni Kroos will not play a series of Real Madrid’s matches, as he has been diagnosed with problems with his adductor muscle in the left leg. The German midfielder was substituted as early as 10 minutes since the game commenced against Real Sociedad, which has ended as a 2-0 loss for Real Madrid. Same as for Gareth Bale, the club did not specify when his return should be expected, but 29-year-old will most definitely miss a game against Leganes and league games against Real Betis and Sevilla.
As well as Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale who have been sidelined in the past few days, five additional players didn’t attend Tuesday training, while the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Raphael Varane are both resting, which is why they won’t show up for tomorrow’s game with Leganes. Mariano, Marcos Llorente, and Marco Asensio, along with the aforementioned two, will not play this Copa del Rey game.
